A credit score game for teens that shows how scores really move
Credit Quest is a credit score game for teens. Players start with no history and build a pretend score on a 300–850 scale over 24 months. Each choice changes the five factors that common scoring models weigh: payment history, how much of the limit is used, length of history, new credit and the mix of accounts.

What players learn
- Paying on time matters most; one late payment can cost a lot
- Using a small share of your limit (often under 30%) generally helps
- An authorized-user card can help a thin file, but only if the main cardholder pays on time
- Being added as an authorized user on several aged, well-managed cards (“AU stacking”) can strengthen a thin file — if the issuers report authorized users
- Applying for many new cards at once adds hard inquiries and brand-new accounts, which can lower a score
- Business credit is separate, but small-business cards often need a personal guarantee
Pretend score only
The game uses a simplified model to teach ideas. Real scores are calculated by credit bureaus and scoring companies with their own formulas, and real credit is only for adults. Learn the vocabulary first in What Is Credit?.
