Captain Coin, the Wealthonauts mission leader

Wealthonauts offers free financial education for kids, organized as a universe of ten planets. Each planet covers one big part of how money works, with lessons at three reading levels, interactive games and matching books. Start anywhere, or follow the planets in order from Money World to Entrepreneurship Earth.

Money World planet, the first stop in financial education for kids

How this financial education for kids is organized

First, Money World and Banking Galaxy cover the basics: what money is, how banks keep it and how interest works. Next, Contract Constellation and Property Planet explain promises, promissory notes, mortgages and deeds of trust. Then, Stock Market Station and Futures Frontier introduce investing and risk for older explorers. Next, Federal Reserve Station and Entrepreneurship Earth show how the whole system works and how to start a business or LLC. Finally, Crypto Comet explains digital money and its risks, and Legacy Lagoon explains trusts and planning ahead.

Financial education for kids, built on accuracy

Money topics are easy to oversimplify. For example, many people mix up a promissory note with a mortgage, or currency with bank deposits. Wealthonauts explains the real distinctions in kid-friendly language. In addition, complex lessons include editorial source notes, and topics where laws vary by state say so clearly.
