Money and monetary history specialist
A lovable gold space companion who explains money history, gold, silver, currency, inflation and purchasing power.

The Goldie character is the Wealthonauts money history guide. This round, golden companion loves stories about how people have traded and saved over thousands of years. Goldie explains gold, silver, coins, paper money and Federal Reserve notes. Goldie also explains why prices change over time, which grown-ups call inflation.

Goldie is shaped like a smooth golden egg with a coin on the belly and a mint-green star on top of a curly antenna. Goldie has no helmet, because Goldie is not an astronaut. Instead, Goldie is a native of Money World who joined the crew to share what it knows. Young children especially love Goldie, so Goldie often leads the lessons for ages 4 and up.
Goldie is careful to separate history from today. For example, Goldie explains that the United States once tied the dollar to gold, but that link ended for people in 1933 and for other countries in 1971. Today, U.S. coins and Federal Reserve notes are legal tender, and most money exists as bank deposits rather than cash.

Every Wealthonauts character follows a published reference sheet, shown on this page, so illustrators, animators and product designers can keep the look consistent. In addition, the names and designs are original to Wealthonauts. Creators who want to learn how brands protect characters can read the basics from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
A round, egg-shaped golden body with no separate head, about as wide as it is tall. Two small rounded arms and two oval feet. A curly antenna on top ending in a small mint-green star. A coin-shaped belly marked with a G. Very large eyes and a small happy mouth. Goldie floats slightly when excited.
Gentle and story-loving. Goldie often starts with "A long, long time ago…" and then brings the story back to today. Catchphrase: "Money has a history — and you are part of it!"
Original cute companion character for a children’s money-education brand: a small round golden creature shaped like a smooth egg, with a glossy metallic-gold surface, a coin-shaped belly marked with the letter G, tiny rounded arms and oval feet, large sparkling eyes and pink cheeks. A curly golden antenna ending in a mint-green star. Floating gently in a starry pastel space scene. Pixar-quality 3D rendering, soft warm lighting, no text.
